Sacramento has the cap space to take on the extra salary and the trade also works under the 125% rule.

Sacramento and I have been negotiating forever it seems like trying to work out this deal but I think we came up with a deal that helps both teams try and accomplish their team's goals. I wasn't sure if I wanted to break up my starting 5 but the chance to get Kobe (even if its just for 1 year) was to good to pass up. Hopefully the addition of Kobe can help us reach our goal which is to win a D5 Championship.
Sacramento gets a lot deeper with this trade and adds 3 starters for the price of 1. Joe Crawford was thrown in just to make salaries work a little better

i accept this deal. its hard to give up kobe but i realy like my team after this trade. ellis - redd - howard - beasley - thomas lineup is much better than what i would have with kobe. next is to make a deal for a center and than i think we have a shot at the playoffs.

I accept this deal, it was unlikely Kobe would re-sign with SacTown anyways so at least he gets something for him before he loses him for nothing.

Yea I'll accept also, in lieu of the fact that Kobe may not have been back...though I guess with money and RP's, it doesn't matter what a team's situation is, so that's not really a true statement.
Anyway, It's close enough...I like it for the Jazz more, but not a rejectable deal.
