With the expiring contract of All-Star forward, Kevin Garnett being an issue in the windy city, the team's front office is working hard at bringing him back for a four year deal, somewhere just under the 80 Million dollar range.
With resigning KG being the #1 issue, the team will then have to make a decision on wether or not they believe they can win a championship with the main peices they currently have. With Luol Deng expiring next season, the team has a decision to make with the budding star. With Ben Wallace, the team feels they overpaid for him, and may look to deal him for some younger talent. Last but not least, Kirk Hinrich's extention kicks in for the upcoming season, and they are hoping they can use his stellar play from last season either as a building block in a trade, or just let him continue doing his thing in the red and white.
Ric Bucher reports that the Bulls are right at the top of the heap in the Kobe Bryant sweepstakes right now. The team's GM's seem to be keeping the major peices on the downlow, so reporters are having a hard time in figuring out who may be going where. At the moment, Golden State is waiting for the best offer, but the bay area's GM is saying that there is a high chance of us seeing Kobe, wear the same uniform that his idol wore througout the 80's and 90's.
