EASTERN CONFERENCE:
Who's In?
1.
Detroit Pistons continue to do their thing and are comfortably sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference. This team will definately make the playoffs and probably be the 1 seed in the East.
2.
Chicago Bulls are on a 5 game losing streak as of now, and have actually lost the 2 seed and are on the verge of losing the 3 seed in the East. Despite their recent problems though, this team has already proven themselves and will surely bounce back.
3.
Toronto Raptors are one of the hottest teams in the league. They recently passed Chicago for the 2 seed in the East and could quite possibly become the 1 seed with a struggling Detroit team. This team, howower, relys a lot on good shooting nights, and has little defense on its starting rotation. They are definately in the playoffs, but how far will their roster take them?
4.
Miami Heat continue to do well. Their roster isnt stacked though, and D-Wade would probably be more comfortably at shooting guard, but nonetheless this team will make the playoffs as a seed around 4-6.
5.
New Jersey Nets are one of the hottest teams in basketball, winning 7 of its last 8 games. But, Udonis Haslem was injured a few days ago after contributing greatly to this teams offense. Nonetheless, the Nets have picked up Mehmet Okur to fill the gap. Will changing this teams chemistry late in the season effect their playoff run? The Nets are in the playoffs, but could have troubles winning series.
6.
Orlando Magic have dominant post players and nice wing players to go along with them. This team is very solid and is on a nice little winning streak. They could easily move up to as high as the 4 seed in the East. Look out for this hot team come playoff time.
7.
Cleveland Cavaliers failed to trade for a legitamate point guard before the trade deadline, but nonetheless, they still have Lebron James. This team is subject to a downward spiral though, so keep your eyes pealed.
8.
Atlanta Hawks. They have the talent. They lack the chemistry. Look for this team to really start coming around near the end of the season and grab the last playoff spot in the East and possibly even give Detroit or Toronto a run for their money in a 7 game series.
Who's out
Charlotte Bobcats are missing key parts of their lineup, unlike the Hawks. In my personal opinion, I think it was great to bring in Vince Carter and Paul Pierce, but thats all they have. Look for this team to start losing more and more games as other teams gain chemistry.
Both these teams are in a mess. Better luck next season.
Huge dissapointment this season, Al Harrington obviously isnt the post presence that the GM needed him to be, this team is done.
