I have decided to do a tally of what players I've traded, and what players I have recieved in return. Then I'm going to give myself a grade on my giant trade.
Traded: Ben Gordon Tyrus Thomas Andres Nocioni Chris Duhon Mike Sweetney Viktor Kryhapa Late first round pick (2007)
Recieved: Kevin Garnett Trenton Hassell PJ Brown Paul Millsap Bobby Jones Quinton Ross Paul Davis Philadelphia 2nd round pick (2007)
I would say overall, that I have got more value then I've lost. And I've set my team up for the present by bringing in guys like Garnett, Hassell, Brown, and Ross. And the future by bringing in guys like Millsap, Jones, and Davis. And since Phili's pick will only be a few picks after the first rounder I traded, I will be able to get a good second round pick, for less money, and not have to garuntee his money, should he not pan out.
Now for the poll question... Have I done a good job setting myself up for the future, while still being able to contend now?

I think you've done a good job.
You've concentrated your efforts in the present and when those guys get old and move on you've got some solid backups that can come through and produce.
It all depends on how great Tyrus Thomas is going to be though, he's an athletic freak and could be a lot better than he already is!

Yeah if Tyrus does develop, I might have lost a great player. But I think Millsap could end up being as good or better, especially since he will be developing under Jerry Sloan.

I wish I'd made a trade offer to Sacramento for Tyrus now. I'd rather have him than Gerald Green and there's probably some filler that could've added up for him. Although who knows how Green will work out in Minnesota now?

Yeah I'd take Tyrus over Gerald 25 times out of 10. I just don't see Gerald developing with the mentality he has. For a guy who's that athletic, he never finishes in traffic, and all he wants to do it jack up contested threes.

If you cut out some of the fat, it looks like this to me: YOU TRADED: Ben Gordon Tyrus Thomas Andres Nocioni YOU RECIEVED: Kevin Garnett Paul Milsap Quinton Ross I think you've won big overall. IMO, Garnett alone is worth Gordon, Thomas, and Nocioni. On top of that, you added Milsap and Ross. But if you lose KG to free agency...that's another story.
