Drama in LA

There has been much speculation in Los Angeles regarding the recent acquisition of Carlos Boozer. Since his arrival, very reliable sources have dictated his displeasure in the direction of the organization. Although the future looks bright, for the time being the Lakers are nothing more than a lottery team; certainly not in the best interest of player in his prime.
As of late, Boozer has been less productive. He has failed to reach the 20 point mark since the mid-season trade, and this may be the result of chemistry deficiencies. The Lakers lack an established point guard, and without the pick and roll capabilities of someone like Deron Williams, his struggles are likely continue. Boozer has been quoted in saying, “I need the ball in the position to score, and that hasn’t happened lately. We need to go back to the drawing board.”
Due to the obvious circumstances, the Lakers have begun shopping Boozer in hopes of landing players that have potential and can develop along with the rest of the roster. In doing so, the organization admits they may have made a mistake in bringing in Boozer. GM Pierre Dualan was quoted in saying “We were almost certain he’d have a positive influence on the team, but we might have been too quick to crown him our savior.”
Boozer is still regarded by many to be a top 5 power forward, and despite his recent struggles, has drawn the interest of multiple teams. There has been a major deal in place that would have Boozer going to IND in exchange for youth, and both teams are determined to complete the deal. Not only would it allow the Lakers to build for the future, but it would also allow Indiana to compete for a division title, given their ability to re-sign Boozer in the off-season.
Only time will tell where Boozer will go in the following weeks. Stay tuned to find out.
