Brandon Roy awoke to his alarm clock this morning, ending his dreams of women and cars. But, this star in the making has good reason to be dreaming of suck things, for young Roy is leading the Miami Heat in scoring. In fact, Brandon's Heat were off to a 3-0 start to the season, and nothing was going to get in the way of Roy having a great day.
As Brandon got out of bed and had his butler make him a ham and cheese omlet, he thought of the challenges that awaited him come nightfall. The New Jersey Nets were in town, and had already been wreaking havoc in the city of Miami. Roy had called the cops the night before, after seeing Ben Wallace and Tayshaun Prince keying his Escalade. He even filed a complaint to the NBA Players Association when he saw Jason Kidd running away from his house at 3 in the morning, after a rock had mysteriously crashed though the window of Roy's bedroom.
Nevertheless, Brandon was sure to make the best of the opportunity that awaited him on the court. He wanted to get back at those crazy New Jersey Nets. After eating his omlet, Roy decided to watch his favorite movie, The Notebook, and then proceed to take a relaxing nature walk.
Nightfall soon came to the city of Miami though, and the Nets were fired up. As Kobe Bryant's name was introduced to the fans of American Airlines Arena, the superstar guard walked over to Roy and spat on his face. The Heat are none for conflict though, and just laughed it off.
The game began. Brandon Roy had been waiting all day to get a shot at these Nets, and now was his chance. He scored the first bucket of the game to give the Heat a 2-0 lead. The win was theirs for the taking. But then, out of the blue, Kobe Bryant.
