Tough Road For the Bulls?
The Chicago Bulls have historically been a winning franchise in Dynasty Five. In the 2006/2007 season, the Bulls finished 3rd in the Eastern Conference and made it all the way to the Conference Finals. Last season was a small decline for the Bulls, but they still managed to finish 5th in the East, only to be stopped short of another Conference Finals appearance by the soon-to-be champion New Jersey Nets.
This season though may be a different story. The Big Ticket has left Chicago, and through a controversial off-season loss of Emeka Okafor, this team is really stuggling. Chris Paul and Andre Igoudala are trying to carry this team, but with an 0-2 start to the season already, things are not looking so good.
The bad news? Things may be getting worse.
The next four games for the Bulls are against four of the toughest teams in D5: the Nets, Spurs, Warriors, and Jazz. Injuries may play a big factor in these games though, as Tim Duncan of the Spurs and Dwayne Wade of the Jazz will both be out for the matchups.
After those four games, the Bulls start a Western Conference road trip, playing six games against the likes of the Warriors, Blazers, Sonics, Lakers, Spurs, and Rockets. If the Bulls can't knock off one of the teams at home mentioned earlier, then we have to assume that the first win for the Bulls will come at the hands of the Lakers or Rockets.
SO, theoretically, after the first 12 games of the season for the Bulls, it would not be surprising to see the team boasting a record somewhere around 2-10.
A tough road ahead? That's an understatement.
