The Denver Nuggets have brought in a new GM this season and so far it has been looking great. The Nuggets have won their first two games (away at San Antonio 86-82 and at home to the Lakers 99-97).
New-GM-on-the-block, Low said after the game against the Lakers:" I was very impressed by the look of this team, although both times they had too leave it late." For the last two games the Nuggets have outscored their opponents 68-53 in the final quarter (incl OT).
He added, " I was not in Denver last season so I have no idea what so ever happened last season, and I don't really care because I believe that what is in the past should stay in the past. But I can promise the fans this: This season we will make the playoffs. Also we will try to bring in some new exciting players and of course some players would have to make way."
When pushed further regarding rumours of star guard Michael Redd being traded, Low was giving nothing away, "Maybe he will, maybe he won't, it depends."
Redd was unable to be reached for comment but franchise player Melo has this to say on the ongoing transfer saga, "I like Redd as a person, but if he leaves I'm not gonna go hoohah and ask for a trade. I'm here to stay."
Somewhere in Denver, a sigh of relief could be heard.
