I apologize to any GM that feels I mislead them during Free Agent negotiations. I apologize to any GM that feels they were wronged in a situation where they felt they deserved to sign a player that they did not end up getting. I have represented most of the big name Free Agents this off season and with that comes a lot of pressure.
I tried to favor GMs that made early offers for players (especially re-signing their own). GMs that made late offers for players b/c they lost out on another player I did not favor them as highly in negotiations b/c it was obvious that the player was not the top of their priority list. Again I apologize to any GM that feels wronged by me during the Free Agency period.
This thread was not created to get sympathy or feel bad for me in any way, but it seems to me that some GMs throughout the entire Free Agency period have gotten upset/pissed off at me so I created this thread to issue a league wide apology to any GM that might fall under this category. It is nothing personal towards you and I am just trying to do what I can to help keep this league going for a very long time.
With this in mind I think overall we have had one the more realistic/better free agencies I have seen in a Sim league in a long time. Especially with some of the big names that were out there.

You did a great job as a PA and I know that u had a lot of work to do with ur great FAs...I just think that u always end a negotiation when someone offers u a better contract....IMO u always need to negotiate before....cuz when i send u for example an offer of 1M, and u receive another one with 2M u end the deal there, instead of contacting the other guy and tell him that he needs to make a better u know...thats just how I feel.

Overall, this was a good and much more interesting free agency process than any past process I've been involved with but as with anything new, there will be kinks that need to be worked out. I don't know how much say a player agent has in the final offer if an admin or other mod disagrees with the contract but maybe we should have some type of free agency council. Nothing complicated but a few of the mods that aren't player agents just to oversee some of the contracts since I know how hard just getting to every pm let alone answering them is. Maybe next year we could have a certain time period each day during free agency that the player agents can be contacted via AIM or something similar so the negotiations can speed up and so there could be even more communication between the agents and gms.

Oh, and I'm not necessarily pissed at you Utah (at least not anymore ), just upset that I lost out on players I thought I had a good chance at getting with Roy being one of them.

Same as me LAL same thing here... Why do u guys use this PM "way" to sign FAs? why dont we use the same way as the RFA? (post a thread with the player's name and negotiate there)

Trust me steps are already being taken for next season's free agency to try and avoid problems for the future and make Free Agency go as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Unfortunately there are no completely fair ways to do Free Agency. There are always going to be teams pissed off and teams happy.

I think the only problem was that there was not a clear line between "realistic and unrealistic"
I thought some of the contracts were unrealistically low, and some were unrealistically high.
Overall, I think it went pretty smoothly. I feel as though the teams that were most involved in FA got rewarded the most, and the teams that just kinda sat back didn't get what they wanted (obviously some exceptions).
