Denver sucked with him. They're going to suck even more now.

He was perhaps Denver's only source of intimidating, consistent defense. It's amazing to see who Denver has payrolled at the moment but also compare that to the low expectations attatched to them.
This trade is a little bit similar to the one where Pau Gasol left Memphis to create cap space, and essentially Memphis only got cap in return. I always feel that, with a star like Gasol or Camby, you can always atleast receive some talent in return from some team whilst simultaneously shedding cap room too. If you can't achieve that, don't trade them!

The reason why I don't get it from Denvers side is because they knew the Clippers were desperate to find someone to replace Brand but all they got is the option to swap second-round picks in 2010, they didn't even gain a pick.

DON'T even compare the Gasol and the Camby deal, BOS Gasol is a LEGIT STAR. Camby is not.
he is a SOLID role player though.
DEN did a DUMB move.
what they should have done is gotten rid of Carmelo for Billups and Prince, I mean this team could actually compete in the West then
PG Billups SG AI SF Prince PF Martin/Nene C Camby 6th man: Kleiza

its gonna be impossible to get a rebound against the clippers if they play Kaman/Camby frontcourt

Well, that assures the Blazers a playoff spot, barring injury.

if you told me denver would be sending the clips a big man, i would have bet my life that it would be k-mart. I don't see how you trade the one guy who excelled in your weakness: defense. This is the exact opposite of improving your team.

it's over now the Clippers and the Nuggets are done.
1. Lakers 2. Spurs 3. Hornets 4. Jazz 5. Rockets (if YAO AND T-MAC CAN STAY HEALTHY) 6. Portland 7. Suns 8. Mavs (just scraping out the Warriors and T'Wolves.)

This is the exact opposite of improving your team. Exactly...Nene is getting almost the same thing that Camby was getting...I wonder why they didnt give Nene or even K-Mart that might start declining a lot... Camby is still a beast defensively and the Clips have now a really strong frontcourt

Mavs will be a top 4 team without avery's strict offense...kidd was held back and will return to form this season. Not to mention Josh howard will be playing his ass off to redeem his reputation. And Dirk will be pissed...i've watched every game the last couple of years and have only seen him pissed a few times, but when he's truly pissed he is absolutely unstoppable. Diop's defensive prescence is finally back in the middle as well!
Rick Carlisle will give the team to kidd and dirk, which is what avery should have done more. When you have two hall of fame players on one team you have to let them run the show.
I don't see the rockets, spurs, jazz, blazers, or suns finishing ahead of the mavs. The blazers will be good, yes, but they won't be that good for another year or two.

the Mavs will be a good team but the West is tough, and also Dirk and Kidd has different styles of play, Dirk likes to play down low iso most of the time, Kidd likes to run up and down.
the Mavs tried the run up and down and they had a player who was younger at the time and is still a better shooter then Kidd in Nash.
the ONE thing that Kidd brings is good defense, hopefully TEAM USA basketball motivates him a lot to win the GOLD, and use that momentum and carry it over to the regular season.

Well the Suns will be good if Shaq starts playing his ass off...Shaq wins titles if he wants to, so all depends on how well he will be when the season starts... for the Phoenix Suns the next season might be our last chance to win a title for now...so its win or die...without a title.

I don't see how it really helps them much, they're still 20mil over the cap, at least with Camby, they can actually win some games being 30mil over the cap.

If the Clippers were smart at all, they would trade Camby to New Jersey for Sean Williams and Josh Boone, and then go ahead and try to sign Okafor
basically trading a 2nd round pick for two legit 1st rounders

Clippers will be sick if they can get anything for Mobley and if Livingston can come back to around 80%.
