As GM of GS, I accept this deal.
Losing Kobe hurts, no doubt, but I needed to get younger, more balanced (aka find a real small forward) and shed some salary.
This does all that for me and still keep the Warriors with one of the best rosters in the league.

I'll accept it. GS locks up a great young player in Durant on a rookie contract for the next 3 years. He also picks up another solid young player in Martin. By the end of this season, Martin is going to looking for a contract extension probably somewhere in the range of $12 to $17 million (seeing as how this offseason went) which makes the salary difference now not really matter. SAC picks up the 2nd best player in the league, but he doesn't appear to have much help around him. It should be interesting to see what other moves the Kings make to take advantage of having Kobe now.

Martin has only a year left, he got an extension in real life but after we started, thats why hes still cheap

Oh well, K-Mart and KD will still be cheaper next year than Kobe. I still accept.

I dont see how this improves the kings. He had the number 2 pick in the draft this season for a reason. K-Mart and Durant are good pieces when it comes to building a good franchise. Now its Kobe and a bunch of other guys. IMO, the team gets worse not only this year but for the next few seasons.
I'd like to hear a reason on why Sacramento did this before I accept/reject.

Rejected. Sacramento is going to stay bad, as well as continue to suck in the future.

i needed a superstar to build around How are you going to build? All the big name free agents have been signed already. You will have to wait till next year's draft to build around Kobe. I reject. Sorry guys

Wow. I didn't expect this at all. I figured you guys would get on my case for dealing Kobe for so little.

I think, talent for talent etc. this deal might be ok-ish. Although trading away the future of Kevin Durant may seem insane in two years time when he bulks-out a bit and kicks some serious ass. But in instances like this, factors such as whether this would be a realistic deal to make in real life come into play. And this trade just wouldn't be made in real life, Kobe would never leave a contender for a building-team at this stage in his career. Even if we ignored that anyway, I'd still reject this trade.

This is EXACTLY the type of trade that would happen in real life. Two super-talented young players for the best player in the league. I live in Chicago, I hear Kobe rumors on a daily basis and John Paxson is willing to give up a lot more than KD and K-Mart II in exchange for Bryant. No doubt about it.

Yeah, so Hinrich, Gordon, Noah, and a 1st is less than Durant/Martin? This is a realistic trade in that when Kobe is traded this is what you'll see although even more will be traded for Kobe. How much was traded for KG?

Yea. I live in Chicago as well and Paxson is NOT willing to deal a lot of his youth for Kobe. Lakers want Deng, BG, Tyrus & Noah. Paxson is not going to give up all 4 for Kobe. This is not a good comparison.

i needed a superstar to build around Kevin Durant is a Franchise player, what is wrong with building around a 19 yr old that is already averaging 20 ppg in his rookie season? Martin is only 25 yrs old & is starting to emerge as an all star caliber player that you could also build around
