GSW trade:
C Patrick O'Bryant (59) $2,061,720---2 years remaining/team option for 2 more GSW 2007 2nd round pick
NYK trade:
PF Kwame Brown (74) $8,287,500---2 years remaining
---------------------- The New York Knicks accept. -------------------------------------
*Note*: The Warriors are far enough under the cap to absorb the additional $6,225,780 in salary aquired in this trade.

I see what you are trying to do New York, and I would gladly have POB instead of Kwame. But the ratings are too unfair to accept. I see that you shed a lot of salary, but since we didn't accept the Randolph to Memphis deal, I have to decline this. No double standards.

I accept this deal.
Seeing as deals like this happen all the time in the NBA (teams have to get under the cap somehow) and I think I am taking on more risk and stand to lose the most with all that money tied up in Kwame if he fails - this is a very reasonable trade.

I think it's ok after you consider the salaries involved. Accepted.

NY is completely rebuilding, he is just trying to get less salary so he can get some free agents
If you look at his roster, he is literally gonna have 60 million in cap room if he releases Starbury after this trade

It is pretty fair. I'm just saying that after we made a big deal to not let that Memphis/ Portland deal go through, we can't let this.

I realized how unfair my trade was after it was denied and i don't blame you guys for denying it, but i would be extemely offended if you guys turned around and accepted this

In fairness to those who accept this deal is more of a standsard salary dump, most dont involve high caliber players (Randolph)

In fairness to those who accept this deal is more of a standsard salary dump, most dont involve high caliber players (Randolph) I'm pretty sure that Kwame Brown, a former #1 overall pick, has the potential to be a high caliber player...you may not think so, but the NBA scouts and coaches that drafted him probably know a little more than you

yeah, but in this trade, he's getting almost NOTHING back for brown....i was giving up a second rounder, a great rookie and another big man for an 81, he's giving a 59 (a 59!!!) and a second rounder for a former #1 overall pick. God, what is your reasoning? or is it that you just don't want me, a divisional rival, to get better, cuz thats the only explanation i could think of

he whouldnt have been a first pick and nyk gives up salary do there not 12 mil in debt and that 59 will get better while kwame will continue to stay the same or get worse

Randolph is young and talented with a ton of potential to improve.
Kwame is young but that and his height are the only positive attributes he has. But that is all I want out of him, a decent off the bench big man and I have the cap space to take him on.

That was a little out of line Memphis. In any case, my reasoning is taht Kwame is pretty highly over-rated and this trade is remniscent of a traditional salary dump. and for teh record I never gave an accept, im still on the fence with this one

i'll admit i shouldn't have said the whole division thing but i don't think i'm out of line in questioning this trade. I don't see how Kwame is so overated (he is starting over bynum, isn't he...and no one thinks bynum is overated at 69). Brown has potential just like randolph (except randolph's contract was even worse than brown's compared to the quality of player). If us regular members can't challenge to the performance of the trade-checkers, then you guys could manipulate this league however which way you wanted to. I suggest we go to the trade-poll format if you guys are going to be so unwilling to take criticism and make the league fair.

don't take it personally NOH, my bro (mem) is in a pissy mood today....he had to spend four days on vacation with our step-dad and the two get along as much as trump and rosie o'donnell, so i think he's just taking it out on whoever he can (it was a pretty entertaining weekend for me though, watching those two duke it out lol...i must say my bro does get the better of him most of the time)

Wow we got another controversy. While I do think this trade isnt quite the same as the Memphis-Randolph trade, it does have similar qualities. I dont think Kwame is ever going to amount to anything, but again this league is still based on a video game & there is quite a significant gap in the ratings.
I understand the Knicks want to free up cap space, but they could have gotten more for Brown then OBryant. OBryant barely played this year & his rating shouldnt increase (might decrease) actually. NY could have gotten Biedrins instead who is actually cheaper I believe than OBryant & he has actually had a good year, which would make this trade alot more acceptable. NY would still clear up space & G-State would get Brown. Something like that would be more fair I think. With all this in mind Im going to have to reject this trade b/c we need to keep some level of consistancy with our reasoning for accepting/rejecting trades.
Also, Golden State do not update your salary page & depth chart before a trade is officially accepted

Don't update your Salary/Depth Chart until a trade is moved to the Accepted section.
This trade's already had two rejects, so unless Golden State is willing to include Biedrins instead of O'Bryant, it's over. I need to hear from you, Golden State, on whether that's going to happen, and whether New York agrees with the change (*if* it happens).
Memphis, I really don't think any of the staff members have an agenda. If I did, I'd place them on immediate suspension from duty with possible expulsion from the league.

i think bynam is underrated at 69 and Kwame is overrated at whatever he is it likes a gamble with HS players there are the lebrons KGs and Kobes but more times there are the Kwames people who excelled in HS but cant get any better because of the huge jump its hard when you go from playing hs kids to the best players in the world

and for the record in the playoffs Kwame played 15.6 more min then Bynam and had four more points and im not sure so dont quote me but i think that Bynam may start next year
