I think this trade favors New Orleans and I'm tempted to reject, but after considering each player for player I guess it kinda works out, but if I was Chicago I'd never accept it.

actually for me it favors Chicago trading Wallace, a defensive player, JUST a defensive player that doesnt score for Chandler, a defensive player who SCORES Trading Hinrich, a good PG, for Paul, a young, scorer and great PG plus he gets younger with Harris, but I dont think that he should give Deng

I look at it like this:
Deng<Paul Hinrich>>Harris Chandler>Wallace Thabo and 2nd Rounder>Butler and James
It's close, but I want to do it because I gain more cap space, and get the best player in the deal. (CP3)

its not right to compare Deng and Paul, compare Hinrich and Paul

i look at it this way.....we both like the trade, we both think we are improving our teams, we both are getting what we want

I'm sure Kevin McHale thinks that when he makes a trade too, but that doesn't make it true!

For those of you who think it favors the Hornets, keep in mind that this trade immediately opens up about $6 million of cap space for this star-studded upcoming free agency. I'll accept this trade.

I wouldnt exactly say Tyson Chandler is a great offensive center Minnesota. Sure Chicago clears up some cap space but hes most likely gunna need that cap space to resign Devin Harris who if Im not mistaken would be a Free Agent next year. Regardless I accept

It's usually a sign that it's a fair trade when there are people on both sides of the fence as to who won.

I also think that it favors New Orleans
Hinrich and Deng are both young and great, and Ben Wallace is still the best defensive big man in basketball, and will still be rated higher than Chandler
Chris Paul is good... is he going to play much better than Hinrich would have? Not a whole bunch, and as stated above, Big Big is still a big name and will still get a big rating
But, nonetheless, I think Chicago has proven himself as a GM this year and if he likes the trade for his team, then I think we should let him do it

you need to stop looking at stats for this league and look at real life stats... this league means nothing for what they will be rated
REAL LIFE: Chandler: PPG 9.5 | RPG 12.4 | BPG 1.8 Big Ben: PPG 6.4 | RPG 10.7 | BPG 2
Big Ben is a better defender than Chandler, although they are both close

U cant compare the 2 fairly. Chicago had 3 players (Garnett,Deng,Hinrich) who are all shoot 1st players so of course Wallace isnt going to score that many points. Compare that to New Orleans who doesnt have the offensive players Chicago does so of course Chandler is going to score more b/c he is going to take more shots. If you insist on comparing stats in this league please look at the difference in FGs attempted by both players. Wallace attempted roughly 700 shots while Chandler attempted roughly 1400 shots

ok but that doesnt change the fact that he make more rebounds than Wallace who is supposed to be the best defensive player

defense and rebounds are not necessarily related

I do think he is a better offensive player then Big Ben but he won't get as many shots so he won't score as much like Utah pointed out.

Chandler isn't really better than Ben offesively actually. He can thank Chris Paul for his jump in PPG this past season. Either way, he is a cheaper, younger version of Ben Wallace, and I'll gladly take him in the future. With Ben, in a year or 2, his trade value will be a lot lower than it is now, so I might as well get value for him while I can. I realize Paul is a bit better than Hinrich, but I want his playmaking to help Garnett and Chandler score. And don't forget, I now have about 14 million dollars in cap space, and there is a certain big name out there named Vince Carter who would love to play for my team.

Finalized. Update your salary and depth charts.
This trade is huge for the look of both teams!
