*This is the original trade. Amended trade is posted later in thread.
Memphis Grizzlies trade:
SG--Ronnie Brewer--(65)--$1,595,400--3 years (team option for 4th)
New York Knicks trade:
SF--Luke Walton--(71)--$1,250,000---final year
--------------------------
The New York Knicks accept this deal. I am giving up a proven player in Walton for a player with the potential to surpass Walton in a few years. Also, instead of having to resign Walton this summer, I will be saving money by only having to pay the rookie contract of Brewer.

i accept...i'm pretty sure any trade at this point would make me better lol (btw can i sign walton to an extension when/if i get him? it doesn't sway my decision whether to accept or not, i'm just wondering)

I guess I accept. I'm not convinced Brewer has the potential to be better than Walton, but I think he'll be aroundabout as useful as him. i accept...i'm pretty sure any trade at this point would make me better lol (btw can i sign walton to an extension when/if i get him? it doesn't sway my decision whether to accept or not, i'm just wondering) I've still gotta get off my ass and make the definitive spreadsheets for contract extensions. But if you get Walton you'll have all season to renew his contract.

I don't accept. Walton is a great player, and I just don't see Brewer developing into that kind of player.

Memphis Grizzlies trade:
SG--Ronnie Brewer--(65)--$1,595,400--3 years (team option for 4th) PF--Paul Milsap (72)--$687,456--2 years
New York Knicks trade:
SF--Luke Walton--(71)--$1,250,000---final year PG--Nate Robinson (70)--$1,268,160--3 years
This makes it even closer, as milsap's higher rating helps cover brewer's lower one (and how good can nate be if he's in danger of being waived by the knicks lol)
I re-accept

It allows Mardy Collins to be our back up PG and gives us more depth in the frontcourt.

Yeah I'm ok with the revised trade. I still think Memphis is getting the slightly better package, but it's not worth rejecting over.
Accept.

Robinson is trash. Just warning you Memphis. Walton is a hell of a player though. He's beyond underrated. The Lakers were terrible this season without him. With Walton in the lineup, the Lakers went 35-25. And without him, they went 7-16. Shows how important he truly is to that team.

This really should require more accepts/rejects from staff, but some of them are being lazy and need a talking to! So I'll move this into accepted.
Update your salary and depth charts.
edit: MEMPHIS, do not update your depth chart/salary thread until a trade is moved to accepted!![/color]
