Utah trades:
85 - Michael Redd - $13,260,000 73 - Stromille Swift - $5,400,000
Total: $18,660,000
------------------------------------------------------------------
Seattle trades:
88 - Ray Allen - $14,611,570 71 - Nick Collison - $2,501,070
Total: $16,662,640
------------------------------------------------------------------
Seattle has the cap space to take on the extra $2 mil or so. Seattle gets basically the same player back as Allen, but almost half his age & slightly cheaper. Seattle also gets Swift who he can start at Center to make his starting lineup better.
Utah gets Allen who will step in as their #1 perimeter scoring option & they get Collison who will be more of a role player (rebounder) for the Jazz.
Basically it came down to Utah likes Allen better & Seattle liked Redd better. Redd also makes Seattle younger to add to the addition of Ben Gordon.
As GM of Utah I accept

this is an interesting deal, despite the #s I think that Redd=Allen due to the age portion and teh fact that Redd had imo a better season than Allen on a worse team. Collison is better than swift because Collison is a more definational PF and about 4 years younger. Despite this the deal seems fair/logical and Ill accept
