The New Jersey Nets offer Rasheed Wallace the following contract,
09/10: $4,500,000 10/11: $5,000,000 11/12: [blue]$5,500,000[/blue]

We would also like to point out that the money we are offering is guaranteed, while the money Atlanta is offering probably will never even reach Rasheed.

As for the "weak" Wizards team, Wallace would be the starting center joining a projected lineup with Al Horford, Lamar Odom and Gilbert Arenas. We also hope to sign some combination of Iverson, Hill and Felton.
The Wizards are poised for a big playoff run and I'm sure it would be really fun for Wallace to be a part of something new and exciting, especially when he will be a center piece instead of simply another player added to a deep roster.

ATL had it included in his so that is why I did it. I have changed it though.
Where do we stand on Wallace? My offer is $10 million + more than anyone else.

In order to conform accomodate another free agent offer, I need to change our offer to Rasheed Wallace. We are reducing our offer in the first year by $800,000 but are guaranteeing the 5th year at over $10 million.
Year 1 $7,200,000 Year 2 $7,900,000 Year 3 $8,600,000 (PO) Year 4 $9,400,000 (PO) Year 5 $10,300,000 (PO)
Total $43,400,000 (ALL guaranteed)

[red]I'd actually forgotten I was in charge of Rasheed negotiations! And some of these offers are very unrealistic.
So far, ALL offers for Rasheed are valid, and I'm decreasing them all to the size of NJN's offer: 09/10: $4,500,000 10/11: $5,000,000 11/12: $5,500,000
Total: $15,000,000 over 3 years
Some of those offers were way too huge for Rasheed.
WAS, SAC, MIN, SAS, NJN and ATL are all in the running for him. Please start offering RPs.[/red]

i know we want to keep contract sizes realistic but not allowing teams with cap space to offer slightly more money than in this case the spurs can bc he has the rp advantage kind of defeats the purpose of cap space. he will get wallace bc of reward points when a few other teams could offer more money (im not 1 of them). its kind of strange to see wallace rated 81 make less money than players rated lower (okur, jamal crawford, etc.). not trying to cause drama or anything

Well, obviously its not my decision to make, but I think he will be making less because most people are expecting him to fall into the low 70s sometime this season.

I'd agree with NJN on that call though. Iverson is still rated an 89 but he's restricted to a $6m/yr contract.
Rasheed signed for $5.8m in real life so I figured the deal I settled on was near enough. Maybe I should've increased it to out-price the MLE bidders but I didn't think about that at the time.
