Whilst Calderon is playable, he still has a little band-aid symbol next to his name whilst he heals fully, his primacy is well down, and his player ratings are well down (like they usually are when players get injured). His current overall rating is 66 as a result and wont get back to 80 until he is fully healed.
For this reason I kept your depth chart the same in game 4 against Toronto.

Golden State has said he doesn't want the trade to go through during the playoffs, and once the playoffs began I didn't have any intention of finalising any trades between playoff teams.
It doesn't seem right to completely change your team halfway through the playoffs...

It doesn't seem right to completely change your team halfway through the playoffs... for real: the trade is soo old it needs to go through now...i would never have done it otherwise!!! i would have traded vujacic for exp contracts to resign bynum and granger...please, BostonGM and GSWGM be fair and let it go through! GSW always said he cant wait for bynum and the others... it was accepted way before the playoffs and in every league the trade then goes through as soon as all players are healthy again.

I still don't think it should go through.
I've sent a message to Golden State inviting his comments and I am willing to allow it to go through, even if he doesn't think it's a good idea. I realise I shouldn't have posted saying "it may hve to go through during the playoffs" - I didn't think about what I said when I posted.

I realise I shouldn't have posted saying "it may hve to go through during the playoffs" - I didn't think about what I said when I posted. the trade was posted on september 29th...i did it for the playoffs...it was cristal clear that the trade goes through...when the admin writes it goes through "during" the playoffs...it was also cristal clear for GSW (the GM has Bynum, Granger alsready in his depth chart!!!)...but of course i understand when he wants to keep the better rated players during the playoffs. but that was never part of the deal... so please do what you have written: This trade may have to be finalised during the playoffs! thx man

Ok, first off...the word "may" means that nothing is decided. The trade "may" have to be finalized during the playoffs...just means it's an option. It does NOT mean that it has to be done then.
I wanted the trade to go through before the playoffs. I'm not positive I would have done if had I known that it would go through in the middle of the first round of the playoffs...it seems pretty wacky.
When I said "OK, that will be quite interesting. I guess it is what it is." I was just resigning to the situation being what it is. VERY WEIRD.
For the record, the reason I have bynum/granger/aljeff in my chart already is because I did not know/remember at the time the trade was being voted through, that it had to wait for Camby to come back from injury. Once I saw it had enough votes, I just updated my chart and that was the end of it...until I saw that it had to wait for Camby to be healthy.
Atlanta, you are changing Boston's words in your previous post. You say "when the admin writes it goes through 'during' the playoffs..." and saying that is a "cristal (crystal for spelling correctness ;-) ) clear thing...you are wrong. He never said that it WILL go through during the playoffs.
He said MAY.
Also, this has nothing to do with having higher rated players for the playoffs from my end. At the time of the trade I knew I'd be getting slightly lower ratings and I knew I was going to the playoffs already. I was fine with that, and I still would be...except it's the middle of the damn playoffs already. It COMPLETELY RUINS any semblance of reality to change 3/5ths of a starting lineup IN THE PLAYOFFS!
I'm very against this, just because it is pretty f'd up and weird to do it. Atlanta knew Camby was hurt at the time of the trade, so did I, so we were both on the same page at that point.
I dunno...I really think it is incredibly weird and unrealistic (we are supposed to be SIMulating real life in this league, after all) to put a trade through during the playoffs.
It will mess with both teams' chemistry I would think.

weird? well there is no trade deadline...its normal in february...so its no weird... chemistry? its a PC game....lol
and the admin said "may" cuz camby was injured and he probybly didnt know when exaclty the injury is healed...before or during the playoffs...
and yes i accepted the trade and i said "i accept - with this trade i can go for the championsship...so i need my players right now...
and sorry for the spelling mistake...im actually german, so english is not my first language...but now with Dirk Nowitzki on my team it doesnt matter.

Since Golden State feels as strongly as I do the trade will not be finalised until after the playoffs.

Dude, I really don't mind about which players I have...but in my experience with Live there is usually like 2-3 games where your team performs like crap after a trade. Or at least sometimes it happens. Why take the chance? You just swept a team and I won 4-1...things seem to be going well.
I don't know what I called you out about spelling...are you referring to the word "may"? That's more of just a general understanding thing, which if it's not your main language, then fine. Just letting you know what it means. It may happen, or it may not.
Again, I made the trade knowing I was going to be in the playoffs, and assuming that the trade would be pushed through with 3-5 games of the regular season left. I was fine with that, even though it hurt my ratings for the playoffs. But to do it now is really just too weird.
I know you don't believe me but I'm not doing this to profit in the playoffs based on ratings...I'm doing it based off my experience in these sims with a team really performing oddly after a trade sometimes. I don't want to take that chance in the playoffs.

Boston got rid of the trade deadline to help keep GMs active and to also allow teams in the playoffs (like yourself) the ability to make a trade that would take place right up until the playoffs started. This scenario would never happen in real life b/c in the NBA there is obviously a trade deadline and if a player (in this case Camby) were to be injured the trade would never go through because he couldn't pass the physical. I understand your beef with the situation but obviously nobody thought Camby would get hurt and screw everything up. You still benefit greatly from this trade b/c Golden State is going to have to try and re-sign Bynum and Granger and they will have never played a game in Golden State where as all your players will still be under contract. I think every GM that has been in this league for awhile will testify on Boston's behalf that he does not do things to directly benefit his team. I'm sorry this situation has happened to your team but c'mon your team is still very talented and has a great chance to make a deep playoff run with the personnel you have in place.

Aww thanks Utah I feel the time is right to bring up the moment which happened to me last season. I was pushing to make the playoffs and the Celtics roughly 1 game behind whoever was in 8th place in the East. There was about 1 month to go, like 10 games left, and Deron Williams got injured for something like 10 weeks and we missed the playoffs by 1 game or something. I could've fixed it so he didn't get injured, but I let it happen Don't retire Atlanta, you're a good GM so far and an active one, but you have to try to understand and accept this ruling.
