Two more teams have jumped into the Paul Pierce and Vince Carter sweepstakes according to multiple media outlets.
The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that a blockbuster deal is imminent and could be finalized as early as today. Surprisingly, the piece being dangled by the Utah Jazz is Jermaine O'Neal. It is still unclear which player the Bobcats are ready to pony up to obtain the perennial all-star.
The Boston Celtics have indeed held trade discussions regarding the aforementioned superstars. Apparently, Charlotte is trying to erase history and reaquire the former face of the expansion franchise, Emeka Okafor. The Celtics' management is reluctant to part with the rising star and are seemingly content with their current rebuilding plan.
Logic would suggest that a three-team deal is in the works, but my sources have suggested that the Celtics are going to sit back and most likely stand pat until the trade deadline. The Jazz and Bobcats, however, are currently hammering out the smaller details in this potential blockbuster.
