To Houston1st Rounder (Bobcats) 08 66: Ryan Gomes - $770,61068 68: Craig Smith - $1,000,000 - $1,000,000 69: Mikki Moore - $5,356,000 - $5,740,000 1st Rounder (Bobcats) 09 2nd Rounder (San Antonio Spurs) Total Salary Going: 7,126,610To Bobcats91 Tracy Mcgrady - $19,014,187 - $21,126,874 - $23,239,561 Total Salary: 19,014,187 well with Boston trading first rounder to inddy i saw how much this pick was and i went shopping around. Boston got a 87 player and i am getting a 91, so i add a first rounder next year as well along with a 2nd rounder this year with bench players. See guys i told you the bobcats will look diffrent next season Its hard losing a great draft pick like my own, but to get T-Mac is amazing. Yeah he's old but he will really help my team. My lineup so far looks liek this C: Bargs (pending deal) PF: Horford SF: T-mac SG: unknown PG: Head (could change) what leaves me with two spots on which i need to fill. This trade works great. i accpet

As gm of Houston I accept.
T-Mac just didnt push this team over the edge and with a big contract its time to change. So i save money get some role players. Add a top 3 pick no matter what to this years team to pair with yao. Now with 4 picks in the draft things can happen. With the money saved i can sign a decent player to start if the rookies dont fill out the team. Plus Yao is ready to take over the team.

Hmm this is a difficult call. This is a total 180 for Charlotte.
Tracey McGrady is a very good player and better in sims, but I don't think he's worth what you're giving, Charlotte. Mainly because you're giving your 1st rounder from this year. You have a 1/4 chance of the top pick, and more than 50% chance of landing in the Top 2. Whoever you land is going to be a cornerstone and you wont have to pay them $20m a year either. If the other staff members accept this and you receive TMac, then I believe you'll be stuck in mediocrity until the end of his contract. It's very difficult to build around a contract that eats up over a third of your payroll and all for a player who, by himself, doesn't make a huge difference like, for instance, Lebron or someone who'd be worth that much. Just ask the Pacers and Jermaine O'Neal.
If your team wasn't in so much trouble I'd probably accept. But we have to babysit somewhat.
I reject.

Charlotte, I think you're giving up too much in this deal. If anything, I would wait until after the draft lottery pans out before making this deal. IMO, I wouldn't deal either of the top 2 picks for McGrady, and I certainly wouldn't toss in a future 1st round pick. Gomes and Smith are solid young players as well. I reject.

I reject. I see no reason for Charlotte to do this.

are you guys serious! ? charlotte rapes in this deal horford/bargnani/tmac can actually win some games and he will have a ton of money to spend in free agency people put way too much value in stupid draft picks when really they could be getting a superstar that is proven

AND YOU GUYS REALLY OVERRATE Gomes and Smith. Both are similar, Craig Smith is a stronger more atheletic Ryan Gomes, well Gomes is a more fluid Criag Smith, neither will make any impact, they are just another Ronny Turiaf and Anderson Varajao ENERGY players. AND with T-Mac, Bargs, and Hortford that pick won't even be in the top 10 it's DEFINITELY gonna be in the playoff bound. The West is still better then the East even in THIS league. IF ANYONE, HOU is getting RAPED in this deal. so in reality it's T-Mac for CHA 08 1st rd and Mikki Moore. unless either of those 2 picks end up as Derrick Rose or Micheal Beasley this trade is bad for HOU. Remember I tried THIS exact TACTIC with GSW I traded Camby and B-Diddy for Gasol, Ridnour, and SEA's lottery pick HOPING to get the number 2 pick in the draft. INSTEAD I got number 4 and Mike Conley.

Considering that Charlotte is only 13-66 with 4 games left their pick will be at least the 2nd pick. (baring Charlotte winning out the rest of the games the top 5 picks will most likely look like this. 1. Charlotte 2. LA Lakers 3. Minnesota 4.Indiana 5. New York)

Lakers are definitely getting the first pick, with CHA and MIN fighting it out for 2nd pick.
BUT hey crazy things have happened, if a real life team who missed the playoffs by one game can win the lottery, so can one here man, you can't take anything for granted.

Charlotte only has 4 games left and Minnesota is 8 games better then them so if the Lakers get the first Charlotte will get the 2nd

We do have a lottery you know. The Lakers aren't guaranteed anything Dallas.
But T-Mac is a proven loser, and is getting up there in age. A young team like Charlotte would be way better off starting from scratch with young guys like Beasley/ Rose, along with Horford and Poonani. And by the way, Ryan Gomes is way better than Anderson Varegina or Ronny Turiaf.

horford/bargnani/tmac can actually win some games and he will have a ton of money to spend in free agency This season, a team consisting of McGrady, Bargnani, and Yao (an obvious upgrade over Horford at this point) looks like it will finish in the bottom 10 in the league. Sure things could change since we are running a simulation, but to mortage the future just to field a late lotto-borderline playoff team doesn't make much sense to me.
