Id like to hear why NY wants to do this. I could see Barbosa for Conley straight up, but I dont get why he would want to trade a lottery pick too

Well, we still have to re-work this deal anyway since this would put me back over the roster limit. The original offer was without Powe so that would have worked.
Even though this needs to be redone, I'll give my reasoning for it. I have wanted to pair Oden with Conley from the moment I've drafted him, but I have been unsuccessful in my attempts so far. When shopping Marbury, I tried to pick up Conley in a deal but to no success so I settled for Barbosa. My original offer to Dallas had the Spurs pick instead of Minny, but he told me Conley was about to be traded in a slightly better deal (I won't mention the other offer, but it was good). So, I raised the stakes and upgraded the pick to Minny's, which is projected to be mid-lottery. I don't value the pick as much since this upcoming draft will have computer-generated players (I think?). I also like this deal since it gives me a true point guard as opposed to Barbosa.

No way there will be computer generated players. This season is on pace to end in June, which is when the draft is. Im assuming that the roster patch will be made by then with the new rookies. This is a really deep draft so that pick should be valued a lot higher than you do.

The draft will contain the real life rookie crop (Beasley, Mayo, Rose etc.).
I am very VERY surprised that New York wants to make this trade. Barbosa for Conley would be acceptable but to throw in Minnesota's Lottery Predicted Pick on top of that seems a lot like overkill, the rest is just filler really. Plus it's not like New York to sacrifice a major part of his dedicated, and so far successful, rebuilding of the Knicks.
Having said that, I accept. This trade will not cripple the Knicks, we don't need to babysit this trade like we would with a Philly or Charlotte trade. Not only that but New York's expressed desire to have Ohio State teammates Oden and Conley back on the same team is evidence of a 'roleplaying' attitude that more GMs should exhibit since, in essence, Dynasty Five is about creating a sense of realism, and this is a major step in that direction. New York could probably have done it at a cheaper price though.

NY now that u know we will have the actual rookies for the draft, do u still want to proceed with the trade?

NY now that u know we will have the actual rookies for the draft, do u still want to proceed with the trade? I'd really hate to back out of a trade, but now knowing that we will be using actual rookies, I value that pick MUCH more, and I'd rather not do this trade. I sort of talked it over with Dallas, and it seemed like he would be fine with calling off the deal, but I will leave it up to him.

I would have no problem with backing out of this trade as well. but THAT would go aganist my code as a GM.
I am sorry NY, but this is gonna be the CM's decision. I hope you understand where I am coming from too.

I have no problem with NY backing out since he was unaware of the draft situation.

Yeah that's okay if you're both in favor of backing out. I'll put this in the rejected section.

you do know I NEVER SAID, I WILL back out.
I said I have no problem doing that because of cirmcumstances, but I ALSO said that would go aganist my code as a GM, or anyone's in that matter.
I also said it's up to the CM members too.

By CM you mean me and the other staff members, right?
I'll let them make up their minds in this thread too. I doubt we will mind if we let it go, it's happened in the past.

Well since NY has not even said "I Accept" & since this trade would put NY over the roster limit I dont see a problem with rejecting this.

forget it then, just reject this.
I don't want this to be a hold up for another trade I have Conley involved in.
