Detroit Trades: 87 R Wallace $12,000,000 $12,540,000 $13,680,000
Memphis Trades: 5th Overall Pick 19th Overall Pick 71 H Warrick $1,376,040--$2,119,102 70 N Robinson $1,268,160--$2,020,179--$2,911,078
I have $17 million in cap space so i can take on 'Sheed's contract.
I'm getting an All-Star caliber player from the championship team for young guns Warrick and Robinson and the 5th and 19th overall picks. With Rasheed as another big man, i won't really need Hakim and robinson was my third string PG, so i don't need him that much either.
I accept.

I accept, I get rid of Wallace for a lot of young pieces that can be used as trade bait

I'm not so sure that I like this deal. Memphis is basically trading 4 first round picks, one of which is the 5th in this years draft, for an aging, declining Rasheed Wallace. What makes this worse is the fact that Memphis is trading out 4 guys with a combined salary of about $8 million for 1 guy with a salry of $12 million. As of now, I'm am rejecting this trade.

Before I accept/reject we need to get the salaries on the same page. Memphis salaries are all 07/08 salaries, where Detroit's salaries are 06/07. I just want everyone to realize before voting that Wallace only has 2 years left on his contract (I dunno if that matters for some peoples votes) but it needs to be accurate

Memphis salaries are all 07/08 salaries If that's true then, Memphis, you need to sort your salaries back to 06/07 before this can go through.

Wouldnt it make more sense to make all the trades 07/08 salaries? If we are still using 06/07 then teams could still trade players that were under contract in 06/07, but are now Free Agents.

If that happens then I think it would probably make more sense to implement a rule stopping the trading of players with rejected contracts. Teams should be converting to 07/08 when the re-signing deadline passes (preset at Nov 7th but I didn't forsee the draft taking this long).

i see where your coming from, but does it really matter? I mean the salaries have no effect on this trade, and when i updated my salaries, i did so thinking i was up to date. So basically i'm stuck and can either completely fix my salaries, something that would take a good 30 minutes, or not trade. To me, that seems like a penalty for being up to date.
P.S. I know about the deadline, but in the real NBA you can't trade someone on your team whose contract has expired at all during the off-season, so why we need the 06/07 salaries when the season ends?

There's a detailed explanation stickied in the General Discussion regarding 'How to make your Salary Chart' if you need help.
