So I'm working on the new league now, the one Dynasty Six should've been if it didn't crash and go crazy! I was thinking of changing the salary system so that, instead of values in millions we just assign smaller numbers to years, and the salary cap is an amount based on those numbers. For example: If a salary could only be a number between 1 and 5, here's the Hawks lineup for the new league, with numbers indicating salary: Atlanta Hawks79 Al Horford - 3 - 3 - 4 76 Marvin Williams - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 85 Josh Smith - 4 - 4 - 4 - 4 - 5 87 Joe Johnson - 4 - 5 84 Mike Bibby - 4 81 Jamal Crawford - 3 - 3 - 4 72 Maurice Evans - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 72 Zaza Pachulia - 3 - 3 - 2 - 2 71 Joe Smith - 1 - 2 69 Jeff Teague - 2 - 2 69 Mario West - 1 - 2 - 2 - 2 65 Jason Collins - 1 57 Randolph Morris - 1 - 1 Team Totals: 32 - 30 - 20 Salary Cap: 30 It might diminish realism, but given that salary-related issues no longer are a problem (since that's the first issue every Player Agent should deal with), perhaps it'd be easier? Then again, if it's not broke, don't fix it? Your comments are welcome guys

It seems like a good idea, but I'm not really sure how it would work in free agency as money is a huge factor when it comes to free agents making a decision. Could I get a little bit of a bigger explanation to help me understand it better?

I see where you are going with that but I am not a fan. Back in the day, there used to be basketball games that used this type of salary ratings. I remember being pretty excited when they went to realistic contract salaries.
I'd love to be involved in the new league either way, but my vote would be to keep salaries handled the same way as they are now.

Actually, since posting this thread, I think you're right Washington. I'd prefer to keep the regular system upon consideration.

Yeah, I really like dealing with money. Going into FA it's like 'I got 20 million dollars, how do I use it? Lets get this thing going!' instead of 'I got 30 salary points, well lets go wild, I guess'. Being in control of millions of dollars is pretty sweet even when it's fake
