That would be in sim time yup i know...well both ways would be ok...Shaq and yao are both good sim league players...so just let the trade go through now or on sim league date dec 15.

I don't think we've ever had that rule in D5 in regards to waiting to trade newly signed players.

This is such a joke why would I let you sign my player just to trade him away like really Hawks that is such a low blow to me and players I'm sorry but I picked your team because I thought you wouldn't just turn around and trade him but i guess I was wrong..

What Pacers say make sense though. It's unfair to the other GMs that rejected for Shaq...

but shaq is one of his players he can trade him to help his team. itll give shaq a little bit of a bigger role on a team untill next season when were gonna try to get a big name to help him

Shaq does not need a bigger role. He gets worse and worse by the second. He signs somewhere because he wants to win the championship (which is why he went to the Celtics IRL).

I don't like it not for the fact that it's a good or bad trade, but it's basically circumventing a rule.
I don't know if the rule is written or unwritten, but whenever I made a trade using FA signees, I have always waited until December 15th game wise before I traded them, and I think that should apply here too, whenever a GM asked me to trade with my newest player I said, wait till DEC 15th sim wise and then come back to me with an offer.
I think a lot of GM's feel the same way about this, that whether it's written or unwritten this rule should be enforced.

well i really thought ill keep Shaq....ut in the minute i got how Charlotte sent me a PM he is highly interested....in the end its a sim league...and the fun here is about trading...i already was interested in yao but the deal was rejected...so i packed Shaq along with Prince and one of my favorites Blake and Diogu and packed old Bibby on the other side with yao...and we had a great fair trade for both sides
i really hope now yao gets healthy in real life....i didnt expect this...but in the end everybody of us tries to improve the team and if the right opportunity comes along, who wouldnt risk it?
(the 15.dec-rule is written in the real NBA - in sim leagues normally u can trade right from the beginning, cuz trading is fun and keeps the activity high)

All sim leagues maintain a certain balance between realism and entertainment. This is either crossing the line or close to it. I'm actually in favour of establishing the real-life NBA rule which disallows the trading of recently signed FAs until a certain date.
Either way, Charlotte's managed to turn Pau Gasol into Yao and now into Shaq. Shaq's a hero and a legend, but not a great player any more. I feel I'd reject either way, whether for realism's sake or the trade itself.

Well thats Why i included allstar forward Prince and Lakers PG Blake and 70 Pf. Diogu for old bibby. So this makes the Trade very fair and a winwin for both Sides. I would appreciate it of u can approve the Trade And please Yao get healthy

Aye I spose that's true. It's not like Bibby's a big ticket particularly, and Yao might have less years left in him than Shaq for all we know.
I accept this deal, but I'm going to put that rule in place for all other teams right now.

I'll accept as long as Atlanta knows his free agency options are probably going to be severely hurt as long as he remains in D5

I'll accept as long as Atlanta knows his free agency options are probably going to be severely hurt as long as he remains in D5 thx, iam loyal to most of my players (franchiseplayer Dirk) and FAs from last season: Jason Williams, still on my team. Lorenzen Wright (RIP) and Snyder were on my team ill his contract ended...and Diogu and Blake were on my team till this shaq deal came around...Kapono was even resigned now

Tayshaun Prince is not an all star player like ATL says he is, IMO he's pretty overrated at 84, 80 tops at this point IMO.
Anyways, I'll accept though.
