At 52, Gortat has to be in competition for the most under rated player in D5. He is a legit starting caliber center. He is a defensive presence and rebounds and blocks shots at a rate that rivals the best in the league, and he is competent offensively. He is also a tremendous athlete for a player his size, and will be only 26 as the next year begins.
With the issues Dwight Howard has staying on the court, he is one of the valuable parts on one of the league's best teams. Playing on the same team as Howard, he is a backup at this point, though he was recently paid like a starter by the Magic, and there is word that 16 teams are interested in making Gortat their starting center. Sooner or later he will likely be sent to one of the many teams he can start for, though he has shown in Orlando that he is one of the rare starting caliber centers in today's NBA, and he deserves a significant boost.

I agree, he is wildly underrated. IMO he should be in the 70-71 range.
