Spurs Making History The incumbent champions of Dynasty Five have only 3 games remaining to play in the regular season and an astronomical win total of 68 wins and 11 losses.
Having already broken their old D5 regular season record of 67 wins and 15 losses, which they reached in the 2007/08 season, the Spurs now look to cement their name in D5 and NBA history by becoming only the second team of all time to register 70 or more wins! The last team to achieve the feat was the unforgettable 1995-96 Chicago Bulls of Jordan/Pippen/Rodman fame.
Even if the Spurs lose all their 3 remaining fixtures, they're already in an elite class: 1995/96 Chicago Bulls - 72W / 10L 2009/10 San Antonio Spurs - Projected 1971/72 LA Lakers - 69W / 13L 1966/67 Philadelphia 76ers - 68W / 13L 1985/86 Boston Celtics - 67W / 15L 1991/92 Chicago Bulls - 67W / 15L 2007/08 San Antonio Spurs - 67W / 15L
Standing in the way of the Spurs monumental achievement are three incredibly difficult fixtures!! The second placed team in the West - the Utah Jazz - led by Kobe Bryant, who are said to pose the biggest threat to San Antonio, and two teams scrambling to meet San Antonio in the Playoffs as 8th Seeds; the Los Angeles Lakers, and finally the Spurs old nemesis's, the Minnesota Timberwolves!!!

Looks like the Spurs are bout to make history. Either way if they lose their final games though they would have already won 68 games which is a amazing feat.
