And on top of that Kupcrack took Brian Grant's salary instead of Eddie Jones's, and also didn't ask for Dorrell Wright and Jason Kapono. trade Caron Butler for Kwame Butterfingers Brown traded our 1st that would have given us Williams that went to PHX instead with Payton and Fox to BOS for Jumaine Jones, Chris Mihm, and Chucky Atkins lastly he missed out on trading for Kidd, Artest, Baron Davis, KG, JO, Pau Gasol, Carlos Boozer, Nash, Wade, and Steve Francis, Allen Iverson, Corey Maggette, Eddy Curry, JR Smith, and lastly Tyson Chandler.

Not all those are sooo bad, Boozer sucked untill this year and 2nd round picks are really hard to project.
The 76ers Have(backwards in time)
2006 - Too soon to Know
2005 - Traded the 1st Round Pick and Cedrick Henderson for Chris Porter, Corie Blount, Vonteego Cummings
2004 - Did something right in taking Iguodala with the 9th pick
2003 - Traded our 1st Round Pick for Jerome Moiso and Robert "Tractor" Traylor(both sucked here and after here)
2002 - Traded Jiri Welsch for the 2005 1st Rounder we traded
2001 - Made the decent pick of Sammy Dalembert but didn't overload on guards with rookie Tony Parker
2000 - Took Speedy Claxton over Morris Peterson (neither was decent but Peterson is clearly better early in his career)
1999 - Traded our 1st Rounder for Nazr Mohammed
1998 - Choose Larry Hughes over formerly unproven Euro-Star Dirk Nowitzki and consensus remaining favorite Paul Peirce
1997 - Drafted Van Horn (then traded for Tim Thomas) over HS Star Tracy McGrady and choose not to keep van Horn
1996 - Made the correct choice of proven College Star Allen Iverson
1995 - Chose Jerry Stackhouse(who failed in Philly) over Rasheed Wallace and HS star Kevin Garnett
1994 - Chose Sharone Wright over Jalen Rose
1993 - Chose Shawn Bradley over Penny Hardaway, Jamal Mashburn, and Vin Baker
1992 - Chose Clarence Weatherspoon over Robert Horry and Doug Christie
1991 - Traded our 1st Rounder for Manute Bol
1990 - Traded our 1st Rounder for Rick Mahorn(who sucked here)
1989 - Chose Kenny Payne over Cliff Robinson
1988 - Chose Charles Smith over Mitch Richmond and Dan Majerle (Acquired the Pick from Washington in exchange for Tom Sewell)
1987 - Chose Christian Welp in a relatively weak late draft
1986 - Traded Jellybean Bryant to LAC for the 1st Pick in the draft. Traded the 1st pick to Celveland for Roy Hinson(Bust!!!){That 1st Pick was perrenial All-Star Brad Daugherty}
- Also, we traded our 1st Round Pick, Moses Malone, Terry Cateledge and our 1988 1st Round Pick for Jeff Ruland (who was so old that he played one game before having an injury end his career, only about 1 year.) and Cliff Robinson(different guy I guess)
1985 - Drafter Terry Cateledge in a weak late draft Class
1984 - Made the smart choice of Charles Barkley
Chose Tom Sewell with a 2nd 1st Rounder in a weak late draft
1983 - Chose Leo Ratins over John Paxson
1982 - Chose Mark McNamara in a weak late Draft Class
1981 - Chose Franklin Edwards over Danny Ainge
1980 - Made the good choice of Andrew Toney (our Head Coach forced Toney to play through pain after a clean x-ray. The x-ray later turned out to be wrong, Toney's foot had broken down and he was forced into an early retirement)
1979 - Chose Jim Spanarkel over some oldies I never headrd of
1978 - Made the decent trade of George McGinnis and our 1978 1st Rounder for Bobby Jones, Ralph Simpson, and our 2nd 1984 1st Rounder {we did choose Mo Cheeks in the 2nd Round this year)
1977 - Chose Glen Mosley over some oldies I never heard of
1976 - Chose Terry Furlow over Alex English and Mitch Kupchak(lol)
1975 - Made the decent choice of Daryl Dawkins
1974 - Chose Marvin Barnes over future 76er Retired # Bobby Jones
1973 - Who cares at this point, we chose Doug Collins with the #1 over a bunch of guys I never heard of but 1 of them must be better than that guy we chose
For the record Billy King has only been GM since 1998, not 1973

www.nbadraft.net/maurer001.asp read this if you doubt Andrew Toneys dominance of the early 80's NBA (yes my storey of Toneys decline was wrong but I didnt know the exact details, the basics were on)

Wow I had no idea Philly's management was that poor! Seems the only decisions they made correctly were the blatantly obvious ones (drafting Barkley, Iverson etc.).
Are you sure they chose Shawn Bradley over Penny Hardaway though? I thought Penny went second and Webber went first...

thats a good article and i agree sixers cant draft wow that's how bad PHI drafting is, I went to the same site you did NO. but atleast now the PHI has some talent and got Iggy and AI 2 franchise players via draft in last 10-12 years. You would have to back to Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher in 1996 was the last good draft Laker had. Since then Kupchak made stupid moves till Bynum and Turiaf, but Mr. West wasan't so perfect either he made mistakes but not serious mistakes. like drafting Deavan George over AK-47, and trading our 1999 2nd rd. pick to SAS who drafted Manu Ginoblli with it. but Lakers has great draft history, the point I am trying to make is, how many misses they had in the last 5 or 6 years. but you got a nice list with PHI though.

Why is anyone talking about Utah. He basically ripped everyone off.
He traded Ak for Redd and Okur and Miller for JO......
