That's fine, I'm also a Knicks fan so figured I'd give it a whirl.

You and San Antonio may have to have a slappy-fight for Toronto!

We should just continue where we left off I think. A lot of us have been here for a long time, and put a lot of work into the teams we have now.

I'm probably about 70/30 in favor of continuing at the moment. We've got a lot of people answering the call and returning just to post in this thread.
If we do continue I'll have a period of leniancy, but there'll have to be a cut-off point at which I start replacing those who haven't returned.

also, i think we should restart if we get a number of new gms... if its a lot of the old guys back then we may as well keep the teams we have

Welcome to the boards! If you hang around and make sure you're here in the week following September 4th you'll almost certainly be assured of a team. Whilst the majority of GMs have returned there's some GMs who will probably never return.

I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to starting fresh, but I know myself and several other GM's have spent A LOT of time building their teams and I would hate to see all that was for nothing.
This was also going to be the 1st off season that implemented Bird Rights and Reward Points. Restarting would also taint the overall D5 League history IMO

I'm still definitely more in favor of continuing. We're only a month away from the playoffs if we continue and therefore about 2 months from the Off Season anyway. And as Utah said, it'll be interesting to see how re-signing and stuff works with reward points (which I want to rename 'internets') n things. 80/20 continuing

College is 4352435432543 times harder than HS, any idiot can graduate from HS.

Actually I found high school harder, lol. My undergraduate degree was the most relaxing time of my life ;D And I still came out with, not a top score, but a second tier score which was good enough to get me into one of the best Universities in the UK for my masters (in which scores don't matter unless you get some incredible distinction). Now all I gotta do is pass.

Now all I gotta do is pass. it might be different though BOS, most of the world uses UK or Australian style education system (atleast the place that were former colonies of UK.) BUT U.S.A., academic system is waaay different. you can skip 15 days in HS and get C's and D's in class and still graduate. I mean all you need is a 2.0 GPA, which is easy to get (I say raise it to 2.5 GPA to make these lazy bums work if not then be homeless not my problem.) all you have to do is cheat of some of the SMART people in class and you can easily get a 2.0 GPA or ALL C's which is what you need most of the time to pass classes. I mean I didn't even try hard or give effort in HS because one it was so boring and two I despise schools as a whole, but still I got a 3.6 GPA avg through High School if you give just LITTLE effort you can easily get 4.0 GPA with A-Level classes, 4.5 GPA with Honors classes, and 5.0 GPA in Advanced Placement classes (which was a total ***** for me it was hard but still managed to get A/B in it each quarter.) the USA system makes it waay too easy for kids to graduate, I studied under a UK style education in my home country (Bangladesh) and it was much tougher, I actually had to work my *** of when I was little (I was born there and stayed there till 8, then moved to USA.) I had to work my *** and in the class rankings the best I ever got was 4th place overall, I couldn't crack the top 3 because it was so hard to memorize everything.

Canadian high school was a joke. Second semester of grade 12 I skipped a combined 40 classes which is enough to get me kicked out of every class. Adding to that, I went high to every class I did attend, and still graduated with 70s.

I've chosen to continue the league from where we left off. Should be up and running again I'm guessing by Tuesday or Wednesday next week (8th or 9th of September).
