Fresh Taste of Boozer
Los Angeles Times
El Segundo April 23, 2009
The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most storied franchises in the history of the NBA. From the days of George Mikan of the powder blue Minneapolis Lakers to the glory years of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and the Showtime Lakers, the organization has created a benchmark in Championship teams anchored by the best big men in the game. With the recent acquisition of Carlos Boozer, the franchise hopes to build on their tradition.
Hailing from Aschaffenburg, Germany at 6’9 and 266 lbs., Boozer’s has established himself as one of the best power forwards in the game. Although he has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons, he is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with when healthy. With the perfect combination of quickness and strength, he hopes to contribute his desire to win to a young team in search of leadership.
The main question surrounding Boozer is his expiring contract. Will he remain a Laker or will he test the market? His future with the team is still a mystery, but the cohesive play of his new found team looks to be a major factor in his decision.
Notes In a deal that sent promising guard Russell Westbrook and Luol Deng to the Boston Celtics, the Los Angeles Lakers were also able to acquire JR Smith and Sergio Rodriguez.

Typical. I trade Boozer and he goes off for 23pts/22reb against the Lakers IRL
