Eastern Player:
Chris Bosh (Toronto)
Bosh dominated the stat sheet by leading the league in scoring at almost 26 PPG. He cleaned the glass as well, with over 11 RPG, and led the Raptors to a 12-6 record.
Eastern Rookie:
Adam Morrison[/b] (Charlotte)
Morrison led all rookies in scoring with 14 PPG, and continued filling out the score sheet with 4 rebounds, and 3 assists per game as well. He helped the young Bobcats team to a 7 win month.
Eastern Coach:
Brian Hill[/b] (Orlando)
Hill led his young Orlando team with a modern day "Twin Towers." Channing Frye was just unstoppable with multiple 20-10 games, and Dwight "The Manchild" Howard, had some huge games as well in leading Orlando to a 12-6 month. Atop the Southeast Division.
Western Player:
Tim Duncan[/b] (San Antonio)
Duncan was second in the league in scoring with 25.5 PPG. He also dominated the glass with almost 11 boards a game. It didn't end there though, as he got almost 2 blocks per game. Making him the best player in the league over the first month of the season. He helped the Spurs to a mediocore 9-8 record in the suddenly weak Southwest Division.
Western Rookie:
Tyrus Thomas (Minnesota)
After being included in the deal that sent Kevin Garnett to Chicago, Tyrus Thomas lived up to the potential that had Minnesotas GM (that happens to be much better then Kevin McHale) drooling over his potential. Tyrus had over 14 points and 9 rebounds per game, to go along with over a block and a steal per game. Tyrus Thomas looks like the early favorite for Rookie of the Year.
Western Coach:
Mike D'antoni [/b](Phoenix)
Mike coached his way to first place in the West. A fast break team with the likes of 2 time MVP, Steve Nash, had a 13-3 month.
