Memphis Trades:
Chris Wilcox (76)--$6,750,000 Drew Gooden (76)--$7,100,000
Incoming: $13,068,000 Outgoing: $13,850,000
Portland Trades:
Peja Stojakovic (81)--$13,068,000--$14,202,000--$15,366,000
Incoming: $13,850,000 Outgoing: $13,068,000
I accept. With my salary situation i will have absolutely no chance to re-sign either of these after next year so i get something back in the form of a three point shooting big man. It also makes way for my young studs sean williams and brandon bass who are the vitcims of a crowded frontcourt.

this is excellent for me...i can now move wright back to SF now and play wilcox and gooden interchangeably at PF. with speights backing up beidrins at center. Plus i may use one or the other to deal for a SG like Raja Bell or someone...
i accept

Incoming/outgoing is correct.
And Peja is 6'10" so playing him at the 4 in a small line-up wouldn't be that shocking.

I guess I accept. Peja playing PF would be a bit weird though.

I decline. Peja at PF is weird enough, but Brandan Wright at SF is just insane. Talent wise this deal is fair, but the GM's reasoning for doing it makes me say no.

By the way, Peja at PF I can handle in a small ball line up, but Brandan Wright at SF is just taking it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far.

whatever, so i deal wright and gooden or something for a SF/SG combo. I think denying a trade that u even admit is fair just because I was mistaken about Wright's height/ability is absurd. Can we please get more votes? Or is trading now shut down

How is it insane for someone (Brandan Wright) who is 6'9" 205lbs to play SF, especially when you consider Danny Granger is 6'9" 228lbs and Tayshaun Prince is 2'9" 215lbs and they both play SF.

It has nothing to do with size. It has to do with the fact that he has absolutely zero game farther than 5 feet from the hoop. And has no handles whatsoever. Can you imagine him trying to penetrate from the wing? That's not to mention the joke it would be watching him try to guard guys like Danny Granger, and Tayshaun Prince.

Lets not forget this is a video game and wright playing SF won't be as awkward as it would be in real life

As far as I know, we are trying to keep this league as realistic as possible, and Brandan Wright at SF is just NOT realistic in any way, shape, or form.

Hmm so where are we on this trade? We had some bumps but I think it's accepted overall. Just gotta wait for Memphis and Portlands GMs to show up and give their "okays" again.

Sorry, Memphis. Even though this has been sitting here since August, it's gone now, along with Portland, who's indirectly made it known he isn't returning to D5.

I'm confused though...why wasn't this approved in August then? Cuz we both accepted and we got three approvals...so I mean if portland hadn't accepted and was no longer here i could see why this would be dead but it looks as though this was basically completed at the end of the off season, just forgot about

IMO this trade should go through. It should have went through in August or whatever but since we moved to D6 it kind of get left on the back burner. Portland doesnt have a GM currently so I dont think it would be a big deal to process this trade

Hmm, okay then. If Memphis can reply back once again and state whether he wants this trade to go through, even though I'm pretty sure he does.

Argh, crappage, I thought this would happen. And I also think it's fair enough that the new Portland GM doesn't want this deal to go through. It's not like his team's talent needs watering down any further. Peja's pretty much the only guy who can deliver for him at the moment and, given that his team is at that 'babysitting' stage, whereby we have to work directly to save a team from going under to ensure the continued popularity of the league in general, I believe we should let him reject the trade.
