I can't believe the massive deals that were given to Webber and Jamison.
C-Webb has already dropped off severely from what he used to be, and he is currently not even playing in the league right now. I can see his rating take a sharp dip in year two, which means Portland may be stuck with an $11 million 8th man for the last two years of his contract.
Antawn Jamison is good, but he's not that good. On a championship team, he would be either the 2nd or 3rd best player. It should be interesting to see how Memphis finds their true franchise player to pair alongside Jamison.
I guess this just shows that to sign a big-name free agent, we are going to have to overspend to get the edge which kind of duplicates the real-life unrestricted free agency system.
On a side note, the lower-tier guys seemed to be getting signed to market value deals.

I personally think I got a steal with JCN, but there is a player option after this year, so I hope I can keep him

Jamison was the second option on the Wizards last year, and they were one of the top 3 teams before injuries plagued arenas and butler. And when those guys were injured, Jamison carried the team and gave them a chance to win. Plus he is an extremely underated glue-guy that deserves alot more respect than he is given. You can say butler is better, but Jamison had better stats in every category except steals and assists. Plus he's a proven veteran, a former all-star, and can play both forward spots.
So i really don't see the problem in giving him that contract, especially when i have such a young and talented core, and also a complementing guard in Ben Gordon.
