for those of you who haven't gotten the game yet, post here a player or two whose rating you REALLY want to know and i'll tell ya (these are ps2 ratings so are usually a little off the ps3 version, but not much)

I can't believe Herrman is rated six points higher than Boozer... I mean wtf?! Are there any other weird things about the rosters? On the NLSC boards I read that there's some random rookie called D.Cook on the Heat with an 86 rating, a center on the Nets team with the name Netsrookiecenter and Oden and Durant aren't anywhere near their ratings. At this rate we'll be using Live 06 to sim our 08 season!

Atleast the rosters can be easily modified. What's the gameplay like? Did you get the next gen or are you playing it on the PC/PS2?

I cant believe the PS2 ratings are so much different than the ratings they posted earlier. EA sports must be smoking some good crack

yeah and the highest rated rookie is second round pick Josh McRoberts!!! I'm playing it on ps2 right now...usually ps2 ratings are the worst cuz they don't have as many rating categories as ps3 and 360. the gameplay is kind of a mix between 07 and the 2k series, but its pretty much the same as last year

i probably will
i just went through and changed everyone to what i thought they should be rated and it only took 15 minutes. For people like walter hermann there was a glitch or something...their overall was 83 but their category ratings sucked so even though it said he was an 83 he plays like a 70 so i think the ratings are better than i thought

both 72, although i changed jefferson's rating to 78. He didn't make the big jump i thought he would. Mike miller and monta ellis didn't either...ellis is a 73 and miller is a 74.

in that order: 88 77 63 74
After playing it for a couple of hours, once you adjust your rosters the game is pretty nice. The gameplay is loads better. Wilson chandler was also left off, but i think in his case the knicks were so deep they had to just guess who would be waived (NY has 15 players in the game). Also, all the bloated-rated rookies are in the injured reserve, so i think that they just rushed creating them and threw them in there. Most of the rookies have accurate ratings and are placed on the depth chart, but the bad ones aren't. Also in the rookie game feature, all of the rookies have accurate ratings so it looks like all the major rookies are fine ratings-wise.

the roster patch is so much better when it comes to ratings. The rookies are rated very fair in the patch.
