SF/SG Jason Kapono 71 $2,700,000 - $2,700,000 PF/SF Tayshaun PRINCE 84 $10,324,380 - $11,148,760 C/PF Ike DIOGU 70 $500,000 - $800,000 - $1,100,000 1st'12 2nd'12 total: $13,524,380
for
pf gortat 52 $500,000 - $500,000 c yao 83 $15,780,000 - $17,040,000 total: $16,280,000
i accept...another step to rebuild my team...yao is always a big injury risk...but im okay to overpay him with two great 70+ players and two future draft picks. For Charlotte its a nice trade to rebuild with a versetaile star-combo Forward and a nice package of great role players, future draft picks and saving 3 millions...
especially sad to see one of my favs 3 point-specialist kapono leaving :/

This is absolutely terrible trade for Charlotte, Gortat should be better rated than both Kapono and Diogu (who both are scrubs, Kapono is a 3-point god, but he doesn't do anything other than that). Going from Gasol to Prince basically, lol.

Going from Gasol to Prince basically, lol. check the whole situation...before the gasol trae Charlotte had a salary cup of: $53,735,511 > about 11 millions to spend in free agency now after the traded yao (83 after downgrade) for a better player and two 70+ players and 2 future draft picks he has about 48 millions in salary cup >>> 17 millions to spend in Free agency!1) this trade has nothing to do with the gasol trade 2) its about a 83 + benchie for a 84 + 2 benchies + 2 draft picks AND the ability for a MAX contract in Free agency ...and i take the risk on injury prone yao and move odom to the bench...so this is a great fair trade and a win-win for both sides

Terrible trade for the Bobcats. Diogu is trash and Kapono almost is trash.
Yao >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Prince and future draft picks of the team that just won the championship

You dont trade one of the best centers in the league to clear up 3 mil in cap space This leaves Charlotte without any big men at all, and good bigs are REALLY REALLY hard to get in thsi league. Plus, it's like he traded Pau Gasol for Tayshaun Prince. I'm rejecting.

Meanwhile... yesterday: I think this is a bad trade for Charlotte, but it's already accepted. Not long until Yao gets moved I'm sure. Trade Finalized. Update your team info. Rejected.

Well the Yao report certainly adds something new to this trade. It is very possible this could be Yao's last season, and if he does get healthy then my bet is that when he next gets injured he will retire then. He will be 30 this season so realitically he probably only has 3-5 years left at most, if he even gets healthy.
