It's 70 days until draft day. I've taken my first look at the NBADraft.net's mock draft just today. Aside from John Wall, I haven't heard much about any of the rookies this year. Judging purely from the videos on there, I like the look of Hassan Whiteside.

Hassan Whiteside is a very raw offensive talent. I say he could go one of two ways in the NBA. He could get offense and be a Roy Hibbert type of player or he could not adapt/work on offense and look like Hasheem Thabeet.

I don't understand why Derrick Favors isnt' getting a lot of hype. He has a ridiculous level of athleticism and natural rhythm about his game, especially for a guy who's 6-9. www.nbadraft.net/players/derrick-favors

DeMarcus Cousins reminds me to much of a taller version of Michael Beasley.
Great talent but huge question mark in terms of giving it the full 100 percent.

I like Turner's game a lot. Favors is gonna be a beast too probably cuz I going go to Georgia Tech so repping my future school. But I agree Cousins has major potential but many question personality wise.

I'm just wondering, being a Kings fan and all, who Geoff Petrie will draft given the Kings we drafting at 3rd or 4th...? I'm hoping for a C but Cousins really seems like he has some attitude problems.

Paul George's promo video certainly looked impressive. He seems like an "at worst" Corey Brewer but "at best" Danny Granger.

well he will definately get drafted top 10, but honestly i dont think he is as good as some of the people he will be drafted above
He is a great rebounder, with great athleticism and length... which means he plays good defense as well. However, his offense is sometimes non-apparent, and will definately take a few years to develop.... he has the potential to be the next Tayshaun Prince/Josh Smith type of player

The athleticsm is there, but his offense could use some work for the next level. His rebounding ability will translate to the NBA. He is a top 10 prospect for sure, but i'm not sure if he'll go top ten.

So he could also turn out to be the next James White with more length? Athleticism with little basketball IQ usually leads down that road, unless he gets a good coach.
