Dynasty Five's Official Mid-Season Mock Draft
The season is not yet halfway through but I'm interested in which teams would pick which players. When we do the real draft at the end of the season, each teams draft position will be determined using the real NBA's lottery system. But for the purpose of making things easier, I've just arranged each team in order of their regular season record for this, the Mock Draft:
Greg Oden - 1. Memphis Al Horford - 2. New York Kevin Durant - 3. Philadelphia Mike Conley - 4. Sacramento Jeff Green - 5. LA Lakers Acie Law - 6. Boston Yi Jianlian - 7. New Orleans Corey Brewer - 8. Milwaukee Julian Wright - 9. Seattle (to Golden State) Spencer Hawes - 10.Minnesota (to New York) Brandon Wright - 11.Indiana (to Philadelphia) Al Thornton - 12.Atlanta (to Sacramento) Rodney Stuckey - 13.Dallas (to Memphis) 14.Golden State (to LA Lakers) 15.Charlotte
(If a team holds the rights to your pick, let them make their draft choice. For instance, Golden State's GM chooses the 9th pick which Seattle once owned.)
There's no time limit for this draft, though one or two GMs have been inactive recently (Milwaukee) and we may have to decide for them eventually.
Memphis, you're on the clock!

I'm picking third and eleventh (I own Indy's pick) so I'm picking in the same two spots Atlanta did in the actual '07 draft, at least for the mock. Would be funny if I ended up with Horford and Law.

Ok I recall Memphis saying in a previous thread that he would like Greg Oden on his team, so I'm picking for Memphis, he's had over a day and seems to be a bit inactive >.<
The Memphis Grizzlies select:
GREG ODEN
New York is on the clock

sorry, MEM, but your not getting a second lottery pick.
I am currently the 8th seed right now in the west.
and there is only one place I can go now,
it's UP.
I guess it's too late to catch SAS, DEN, HOU, and PHX, but I can still lock up the 5th seed before the playoffs started.

My lineup after my pick:
C - Kendrick Perkins F - Emeka Okafor F - Josh Smith G - Brandon Roy G - Acie Law
Whatever happens in this league my lineup still isn't going to look as impressive as Boston's in real life now! Which I suppose is a good thing, heh.

New Orleans must still be at camp, so I'll pick for him:
Yi Jianlian
Milwaukee is on the clock

Shouldn't Yi's stock be a LOT lower than number 7? Who knows if the guy is ever going to play in the NBA. I still think he's worth a shot at the very end of the lottery just because he carries a lot of "potential".

I haven't actually been reading up on the Yi situation, what's going on with that selfish bastard that charming Chinaman?
