----------------------
The New York Knicks accept this trade. As of right now, we are hovering around that 8-10th spot area in the East, and we believe that this trade to bring in veteran leadership will be enough to bring the playoffs back to the Garden for the first time under my reign of terror.
I've been shopping Lee since last year as I really didn't want to have to worry about resigning him this offseason. Well, now I have the future at PF in Jason Thompson on his rookie deal for 3 more seasons, and I'm also able to bring in McDyess to take David's spot for the short-run.
Stuckey was the guy I didn't want to trade, and I kept him out of the original offer. But I felt as though this trade was ideally what I wanted to accomplish. I now have Devin Brown to bring off the bench at SG.
The loss of Pietrus is offset by the acquistion of Barbosa, who I personally prefer and is on a reasonable long-term deal.
And the Knicks are back in the second round of the draft!
